As part of the consolidated ATS/SIMRI collaboration, the Virtual International Pediatric Pulmonary Network (VIPPN) clinical case series was held again this year, featuring young SIMRI members who presented a clinical case.
“Pulmonary Involvement with Immunodeficiency: The Role of CTLA-4 in the Pathogenesis of Granulomatous Lymphocytic Interstitial Lung Disease (GLILD)” will be presented by Dr. Michele Abramo and discussed by Prof. Luana Nosetti of the F. Del Ponte Hospital in Varese.
“Extremely early-onset systemic juvenile idiopathic arthritis complicated by severe lung disease” will be presented by Dr. Benedetta Puglisi and discussed by Dr. Sergio Ghirardo of the Burlo-Garofolo Hospital in Trieste.
“A pediatric case of follicular tracheobronchitis: the role of bronchial-associated lymphoid tissue (BALT)” will be presented by Dr. Arianna Rossi and discussed by Dr. Mauro Lizzi, of the University of Parma and the OPBG of Rome, respectively.
The session will be chaired by Dr. Enrico Lombardi of the Meyer Children’s Hospital in Florence.
